Hypnotherapy for Anxiety

Anxiety can be completely debilitating and can range from mild to extreme. You could be anxious about one particular thing or you could be suffering from ‘generalised anxiety disorder’ which means that you worry about everything.  Anxiety can feel so debilitating that you might find yourself living in a state of  dread, as though something awful was about to happen.

If you are living in a permanently anxious state, you might develop certain behaviours such as:

  • Constant checking
  • Avoidance
  • Escape
  • Dependency
  • Obsessions
  • Panic disorders
  • Panic Attacks

Low self-esteem and low self-worth are frequently linked to anxiety.

To be persistently anxious is exhausting  because your body  is under stress.  Moreover, you may experience  highly unpleasant physical symptoms such as trembling, fatigue, sweating, having a constantly upset stomach, shortness of breath, tightness in your chest, feeling a lump in your throat, having a dry mouth or feeling fidgety. This may mean that you could find it impossible  to relax and enjoy anything properly in your life.

Hypnotherapy is extremely effective in eliminating anxiety because the various interventions can target cognitive, behavioural and physiological responses. These, combined with your own evidence-based exploration of your world will bring fresh perspective to your thinking.  By developing the ability to relax, by building your self-esteem and by utilizing self-control techniques you will come to new understanding and learn how to experience situations that previously you could not have tolerated.  Why don’t you take the first steps in deciding  to cope with those situations that you might have been avoiding for a very long time?
